Marvin Mitchell

Marvin has dedicated his career to helping those in or near retirement with their retirement portfolio. He believes in safety first, keeping it simple while aiming for a reasonable rate of return. A St. Louis native, Mitchell is passionate about giving back to his local community. He and his team at Compass Retirement Solutions spend extra hours volunteering, donating college scholarship money for lower-income students and contributing to breast cancer awareness and education. Mitchell served as vice president of leadership development for Urban League Young Professionals of St. Louis and is a former board member of United4Children.
In 2016, he received the Salute to Business Excellence Award *️, which was awarded for achievements spanning from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2015. This recognition is given to thriving minority businesses contributing to equitable growth. The awarding organization also plays a significant role in providing over $10,000 in scholarships for local minorities in area business schools and acknowledges the region’s top African-American businesses, spotlighting their diversity efforts, as voted by the St. Louis American Newspaper.
In the same year, 2016, Marvin was an honored recipient of the St. Louis County NAACP Distinguished Legacy Award, awarded in 2016 for calendar year 2016 *.
