Meet Marvin Mitchell

Marvin Mitchell is the Founder of Compass Retirement Solutions, LLC and focuses on serving baby boomers. He is passionate about helping baby boomers avoid running out of money so that they can live the lifestyle they desire.

He specializes in retirement planning, which may include the areas of 401K rollovers, IRA transfers, and retirement income protection.

You may have seen Marvin’s articles in the St. Louis American, or perhaps you have heard him as a retirement expert guest on KSTL Jubilee 690 AM or The Big 550 KTRS at 7:00 AM every Sunday. He was also recently selected as a top St. Louis professional for Economic Empowerment.

Marvin is a St. Louis native and graduate of Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville. In addition to his passion for finances, Marvin is a speaker, coach, and trainer certified by the John Maxwell Company. He is a member of the National Ethics Bureau. He has served as a board member for United4Children and is Vice President of Leadership Development for Urban League Young Professionals of St. Louis. In his spare time, Marvin enjoys traveling to tropical locations, softball, and being involved in his local church.

Arlene Hudson

Director of Operations

Arlene oversees the business operations and client services department at Compass Retirement Solutions, LLC. She works with new clients to ensure all accounts are opened and funds are transferred correctly. During the new business process, she is a critical point of contact for updates and information for clients and financial institutions. Arlene assists existing clients with account service needs such as status updates, withdrawals, beneficiary changes and conducts retirement account reporting for client annual reviews. Arlene also coordinates payroll and benefit services for company employees. Arlene earned her Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Eastern Michigan University. She has also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Georgia State University.

Jessica Pedraza

Event Marketing Specialist

Jessica P. is the Event Marketing Specialist for Compass. She is responsible for all aspects of the company’s events and dinner seminars, including event scheduling, material preparation, data tracking, and successful execution of each event. In addition to event planning, Jessica also assists with developing and implementing the firm’s other marketing and advertising campaigns including radio shows, commercials, print marketing and online presence. Jessica prepares newsletters and email notifications that are sent to current and potential clients and provides support to the Marketing Department’s daily operations. Jessica is a recent graduate from Missouri State University with her bachelor’s degree in Ethics and Child and Family Development.

Jessica Williams

Marketing Operations & Technology Specialist

Jessica W. plays a key role in measuring and analyzing the performance of sales and marketing campaigns, as well as supporting the reporting, operational and technology objectives for the company. She is responsible for developing and deploying the necessary reporting & dashboards to provide necessary insights on how to best serve our clients and help to ensure we make informed and well-thought out marketing strategy decisions. Jessica earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Maryville University.

Zan Clare

Director of Client and Community Relations

Zan is responsible for facilitating the Retirement Strategies Seminars and special Client Appreciation Events.  She also serves as the community relations liaison, creating and maintaining partnerships with other professionals focused on serving baby boomers.

Zan, a former Asst. Professor of Nutrition and Clinical Sciences, holds a B.S. in Human Biology, a Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine, and is a retired Functional Medicine specialist.
